THE former husband of missing Highworth mother-of-four Linda Razzell has been charged with her murder.
Glyn Razzell was today due to appear before Swindon magistrates.
Linda, 41, a part-time learning assistant at Swindon College, vanished eight weeks ago.
It is believed that, after dropping off her children in Highworth, she drove her normal route to work in Swindon, parking her red Ford Escort as usual in Alvescot Road, Old Walcot.
There has been no trace of her since, except the recovery of her mobile phone from an alley near where her car was found on March 19.
Linda's cousin Julie Westmore has travelled from Llanybydder in Wales to help look after Linda's children, Catherine, 14, Matthew, 12, Emma, nine, and Robin, five, at the family home in Pentylands Close.
Glyn Razzell was arrested on Wednesday after new evidence came to light in the inquiry. Police confirmed they had taken a 42-year-old to Westlea Police Station.
The arrest followed an exhaustive investigation, which included the release of CCTV footage of her, a reconstruction of her last known moments and door-to-door inquiries.
Concern has been voiced from members of Linda's family as well as her boyfriend Gregory Worrall, who made an emotional appeal for her to return.
Razzell, of Meadow Road, Rodbourne, also joined the appeals for her to contact her family.
He said shortly after her appearance that he thought Linda did not wish to be found and could be as far a field as Wales or even France.
There is still no sign of Linda, who is white, 5ft 2ins tall, slim, with dark, curly, shoulder length hair which she was wearing in a clip when she was last seen. She has blue eyes and a small scar on the bridge of her nose.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on Swindon 528111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
