CAN drugs offer a better quality of life to sufferers of alzheimersdisease, or do they produce the zombie effect by suppressing behaviour?
That is one of the issues set to be raised at a debate on drugs and dementia patients led by Dr Simon Manchip, consultant in old age psychiatry.
Alzheimers Support West Wilts, organiser of the event, hopes that knowing more about the illness will help carers to cope.
The meeting is at Bridge House, Stallard Street, in Trowbridge from 11.30am to 1.30pm on Monday, June 17. For more details or if you need a relief carer while attending, phone Alzheimers Support West Wilts on (01225) 776481.
