CHILDREN at Holbrook School, Trowbridge, were treated to a display by Philipo the clown on Tuesday, May 14.
Headteacher Christine Wilmott said: "He was entertaining from the moment he entered the room. He juggled five tennis rackets, and a pupil was invited to sit on his shoulders as he rode a unicycle.
"It was full-on fun, and the children loved it."
Philipo was there to promote the Gilbert and Paulos circus, which is running this weekend. The circus, which does not feature performing animals, includes trapeze artists, acrobats, trampolinists and the world's first juggling robot, which is operated by computer.
Kerry Foley, PA to the director of Gilbert and Paulos, said: "Children today often don't get to see anything other than TV and films. It's important they get out to see a live performance."
The circus is on at the White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, until Sunday. Performances are at 5pm and 7.30pm today, 2pm and 5pm tomorrow and 11am and 2pm on Sunday.
