WILTSHIRE suffered a nine-wicket defeat away at Devon in the 38 County Cup.
Devon won the toss, putting Wiltshire into bat, but Peter Robuck's 3-32 helped the home side see off the visitors for 187.
Chris Budd was Wiltshire's top scorer with 69 closely followed by Neil Shardlow on 42.
But a partnership of 167 from Devon's Duncan Townsend and Bobby Davies eased the home side to victory.
Davies hit 93 not out with Townsend unbeaten on 59.
Wiltshire are back in action at the end of July (29/30) against Oxford at Thame in the Minor Counties.
