SCHOOLGIRL Heather Weston won a dream date with an Irish boy band after entering a competition in a magazine.

Heather first heard of Reel when she saw them supporting Westlife during their Coast to Coast tour.

She chose her best friend Kelly Rowan to take on the date, which took place at the London Aquarium.

The pictures of their date are due to appear in Smash Hits magazine out tomorrow.

Both girls are 15 and attend Green-down School. They said the Celtic song-sters were perfect gentlemen during the date.

Heather said she was a fan of the group because unlike other boy bands they can play their own instruments.

She said: "We went around and fed the fish and even had a water fight by the sting-ray tank.

"I suppose the best bit was the hugs. They were all nice and quite cuddly."

Kelly added: "I was really excited when Heather asked me.

"It was really good, they mucked around a lot and made us laugh.

"I like their music which is pop with an Irish ring. They had nice Irish accents as well."

Reel have released three singles, which have reached the top 40 but they do not have an album yet.

Their single, Take Me Away, is out at the moment.
