CREEPY crawlies were the guests of honour at the summer fete of a Cricklade school.
Spiders, cockroaches and snakes were on display at St Sampson's Junior school fete.
The fete raised more than £2,400 which will go towards completing the Bath Road school's ICT suite and support other areas of the curriculum.
Mike Ferris, headteacher, said: "It was a huge success.
"The creepy crawlies were very popular and lots of children had their pictures taken with them.
"Our fetes always involve the children so there were about 50 stalls ran by them. The children raised a significant proportion of the money.
"We heard about a group of private collectors who are prepared to show their pets and we thought it would be a good theme for our fete.
"The weather was fine with a few spots of rain but the clouds passed and we all had a fabulous time."
The fete also had music from a folk group, a bouncy castle and a five-a-side football tournament which proved a great success.
