Purton lost to Goatacre in a tense finish on Saturday.
On losing the toss Purton were asked to bat on another bowler- friendly wicket and made a steady start against the opening bowlers.
But with the introduction of the accurate Heer and Dawson they found it difficult, moving the score to 41-3 at the end of the 20th over.
Goatacre continued to bowl well, restricting Purton to 60-5 after 36 overs. However with wickets in hand they were able to attack the final nine overs, and thanks to an eighth wicket partnership of 43 by Lancaster (25) and Dean Miles(12) Purton closed on 125-7.
In reply Goatacre started confidently and were cruising towards victory at 50- 2 when Dean Miles produced an inspirational spell. taking 3-15 in six overs.
He later returned to have Iles caught at slip, and Goatacre were faltering at 115-8, but with only 11 runs required Adam Iles (24) steered them home in the 42nd over for a two-wicket victory.
