THE news that over the next ten years there are going to be another 7,500 houses built in the Swindon area can come as no surprise to anyone.
We are a modern, vibrant society and if we are to continue in the same vein then we need decent homes to accommodate all those people who want to come here to live and work.
Yes, we must protect our green belt areas, but ways and means will have to be found for these homes because if we ignore our future destiny then we face stagnation.
