KEYNSHAM Methodist Church will shortly be saying farewell to its minister the Rev John Carne.
For the past 11 years Rev Carne has been at Keynsham and will now be moving to Exeter to become chairman of the Exeter and Plymouth District of the Methodist Church.
His wife Valerie and twin sons Paul and Daniel will be moving with him.
The members of the church will be bidding him farewell at a social evening on July 20. There will be a buffet at the Victoria Church starting at 6pm, followed by an evening of entertainment in the parish church of St John's at 8pm.
The tickets are £3.50 and can be obtained from the Victoria Church between 10am and 12 noon or telephoning the church office on 0117 914 9408.
On July 21, John will preach his last service at Victoria at 10am and at Queen's Road at 6.30pm.
After the evening service, there will be speeches and a presentation.
