AM I the only one that finds Frank Avenell's recent outbursts on immigration somewhat at odds with the fact that he once proudly proclaimed himself a proud descendant of the Huguenots.
The Huguenots themselves being very famously refugees from Tyranny in Continental Europe.
I think we are all aware that the current wave of immigrants has its roots in the downfall of Soviet control of Eastern Europe.
An event that Mrs Thatcher was proud to have played a big part in, yet it seems now to be all the fault of the present government, an old chestnut that is wearing a bit thin.
I wouldn't worry too much Frank these islands of ours have seen waves of immigrants before and I am sure will see waves of immigrants again.
It is all a part of the rich tapestry of the history of this land. Check with your ancestors Frank.
