BEING born a month early has earned mother-of-two Margory Kick a place at an exclusive party at Buckingham Palace.
Mrs Kick, 50, of Marshfield Road, in Chippenham, was born a month premature shortly after midnight on February 6 1952, the day King George VI died.
She was invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday which was exclusively for people born on the day the Queen's father died.
Mrs Kick, who is a part-time receptionist, saw a letter from the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Sir Maurice Johnston, published in the Gazette earlier in the year appealing for people who had that special birthday to come forward.
She wrote to the Lord Lieutenant in March and six weeks ago received an invitation to the palace for herself and her husband Brian.
The couple have two children, 23-year-old James, who works in advertising, and daughter Amy, 19, a chef. "They are really proud of us," she said.
