MALMESBURY Youth FC will play host to more than 1,000 young players this weekend when they stage their annual six-a-side tournament on land near the Red Bull pub.
The club have stepped up their marketing campaign for this year's event and have been rewarded with two entries from the Plymouth area and around 15 from South Wales.
Junior teams from Gien, Malmesbury's twin town in France, are also expected to take part.
The tournament will see youngsters in categories between U9 and U15 taking to the field, with odd numbered age groups kicking off the weekend's action on Saturday morning.
Even numbered age group will contest the honours on Sunday.
Phil Rice, one of the organisers, said: "It should be a good one."
