A TEENAGER has admitted kicking holes in a fence during a long feud with neighbours.

The 14-year-old admitted being involved with another youth and damaging three fence panels to a value of £30.

Devizes Youth Court gave him a three-month referral order to attend meetings with the Youth Offending team

The youth said there had been a feud between him and the neighbour's son. Threats had been made to him at school that the family's pet cat would be killed.

Prosecutor Richard Thomas said when holes were seen in the fence, inquiries led to two teenagers, and when questioned by police, the 14-year-old admitted helping to cause the damage.

Tim Hammick, representing the teenager, said: "Threats were made to at school to kill the family's cat and he was told it would be untraceable.

"He came home and kicked the fence."

Mr Hammick said the boy had anger management problems and his mother was at the end of her tether.

The boy told the court the fence had already been damaged by vandals, although he admitted kicking it.
