EIGHT junior Devizes Angling Association members turned out to compete for the Gazette Cup on Saturday in a three-hour match fished on Crookwood Lake, near Urchfont.
The event produced plenty of action, with fish showing at every peg.
Ben Lomas-Milne proved to be top angler on the day with a mixed bag of Roach, Perch, Skimmers and the odd Goldfish to weigh 8lb 4oz 8dr. Lomas-Milne was using a pole and fishing maggot over groundbait and pinkie.
Paul Williamson was also catching well, landing a good Tench near the end of the match and weighing 7lb 8oz 8dr of Tench, Carp, Roach, Perch and Goldfish.
Williamson used pole and fishing maggot and caster over groundbait and caster.
Ray Thicker and Ray King were also very close contenders to the frame with similar catches.
