STAFF backing up police in Swindon have been awarded NVQ training certificates.
The certificates, presented by Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Long, were awarded following a pilot course run in conjunction with Active Learning and Development.
Two of the recipients have been awarded assessor certificates and another four received certificates in customer services.
The national vocational qualifications are a recognised qualification for staff within the call management environment, which enables Wiltshire police to develop an enhanced customer service.
Of the six recipients, two are employed in the control room at Westlea, three are employed in the control room at police headquarters, Devizes, and the final recipient works in the public service desk at police headquarters.
Two people received NVQ assessor's certificates. They are:
Joanne Somers, 37, of Marlborough, a communications supervisor working in the control room at Westlea police station.
Roy Perrett, 42, of Devizes, a communications supervisor working in the control room at police headquarters.
Three people received NVQ level two certificates in customer care. They are :
Jo Woolfall, 32, a communication supervisor working in the control room at police headquarters. Jo lives in the Devizes area.
Andrew Clark, 30, of Seend, a communications operator working at police headquarters.
Zoe Greenslade, 33, of Devizes, working in the public service desk at police headquarters.
