GENEROUS customers at Barnets Barber Shop got into the World Cup spirit not by having David Beckham-style haircuts but by raising £154 in aid of Prospect Hospice.
Many volunteered to pay an extra £1 per haircut with the chance of winning a replica World Cup trophy.
Winner, John Grant was presented with his prize at a ceremony outside the Commercial Road shop.
Owner, Richard Law, said: "It was my idea to support the hospice.
"We do other fundraising work for the Prospect, often by fining people 50 pence if their mobile phone goes off in the shop.
"This was just something a little bit different."
