I would like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed the Old Town Festival this weekend. However, it was slightly marred by the intervention of council workmen, who took away dance flooring while the children were still performing. The audience was stunned to silence.
Surely they could have allowed the Irish Dancers a few extra minutes to finish what was a riveting display.
As for Mr Jobsworth (who was that man?), he certainly over- estimated his importance. Why did he keep interfering with the volume of the music? Surely the dancers need to hear what they're performing to, and it certainly wasn't loud enough to distract performers elsewhere in the park.
Perhaps he should think about all the hard work and preparation these children put in and be grateful for their contribution towards the festival.
