A NURSERY in Chippenham was a mass of stars and stripes last Thursday as toddlers took part in the celebrations for American Independence Day.
To mark the special occasion, the children at Leapfrog Nursery, in Bath Road, enjoyed a day full of Independence Day themed activities.
Thirty toddlers made US flags and prepared homemade cookies and muffins for tea.
The nursery, which looks after children aged three months to five years, used the day to educate the children about America. Activities included counting the stars on the US flag and learning about traditional American foods.
Tracey Thomas, unit coordinator for the toddler group, said: "The children absolutely loved the day."
