Goatacre must see off Cornish challengers Werrington if their dream of appearing at Lord's is to become a reality.
The two sides will battle for a place in the quarter finals of the National Village Cricket Championship at Goatacre on July 21. While the Wiltshire team boast two previous village championship victories albeit more than a decade ago Werrington also have some pedigree, making the final in 1996.
Goatacre captain Pete Turner is expecting a tough game, but believes home advantage may give his side the edge.
"They're one of the strongest sides and it's going to be tough," he said.
"But we have to think of ourselves as favourites playing at home."
