SUNDAY saw Winsley stage their annual charity match in aid of Dorothy House hospice and club funds.
The game saw a mixture of local players take on Winsley in a 40-over game. The Select XI batted first and made good progress with Prentice and Breet both batting well.
The breakthrough finally came with Cross bowling Breet. Wickets were then shared between More, Hickerton, Hussey and Leigh as Winsley bowled out the visitors for 190.
Winsley's reply started in unfortunate after More steadied the ship and A Cross and Harris led a spirited fight back both scoring well, but it wasn't enough.
Winsley were all out for 177, falling 13 runs short.
