TROWBRIDGE found themselves without a league game on Saturday so arranged a 45 overs match with Andoverford who also had no game.
A mixture of youth and experience was on show in this close fought game at the county ground. Andoverford were restricted to 200 for five wickets by good accurate bowling by Pete Hickerton, Andy Rutland, Rich Howard and Craig Brennan making his first team debut with two wickets.
Trowbridge replied positively with openers Des Gingell and Rob Russam putting on 50 runs and Australian Dean Semken a quick fire 38 including a six that smashed a car.
Four quick wickets kept the game in the balance for a while until Rob Edgington and Ali Goddard came together to bludgeon the bowling to all parts giving Trowbridge a six wicket victory.
