MAY I please, through your newspaper, express my sincere thanks to the carnival committee and all those very willing and hard working volunteers who made the Dilton Marsh Carnival such a tremendous success.
I would also like to thank, on behalf of the committee, all those who took part in the procession, the people who lined the High Street and then came to the playing field and supported us, turning the day into a large village party. You were terrific. Our thanks also to Judith Finney, her staff and all those at Dilton Marsh School for allowing us to use the school football pitch for our football tournament.
I am told by those who have lived in the village for many years this was the best carnival they could remember. I would therefore appeal to the village as a whole to get involved. You will be surprised how much more fun it is helping rather than just watching.
DENNIS DAVISON,
Chairman, Dilton Marsh Carnival 2002,
Dilton Marsh.
