A TEACHER from Trowbridge has won a chance to work alongside leading scientists.
Peter Eyles, a science teacher at the John of Gaunt School will also get a £250 grant to design a community project for the school and the town as part of the Amerada Hess environment award.
He said: "I am delighted to have won an award because it presents a unique opportunity to work with leading scientists who are helping to gain a better understanding of our environment."
Mr Eyles will take part in the Earthwatch bush crickets and butterflies project in Devon.
He will be identifying butterflies and conducting plant surveys with the aim of assessing the best way to provide habitats for wildlife.
