FOOD from all around the world was showcased at a food festival in Trowbridge on Wednesday.
People from the Polish and Italian communities in the town joined many others at the taste of the nations event held at the town's Red or White restaurant.
Owner Marco Polledri said: "We had a great turnout, more that I expected."
Many restaurants, pubs and hotels from all over Wiltshire came along, bringing their own specialities with them.
Visitors could sample dishes ranging from curry and Indian beer to the good old British sausage.
Two of those taking part, Averil Berrisford and Sally Taylor decided to celebrate American Independence Day with traditional American fare.
Typical German offerings, celebrating Trowbridge's twin town of Leer, were also available.
The main aim of the event was to promote eating out all around the county.
Mr Polledri said: "People aren't aware of what's available to them within their towns and we are hoping this makes a difference."
The organisers are now hoping to make this an annual event, co-ordinating with more venues in the future to make the festival larger.
