A TRIO of Gloucester stars, plus Bath back Rob Thirlby, have been included in England's provisional 14-man squad for the Commonwealth Games.
Simon Amor, Henry Paul and James Simpson-Daniel have joined Thirlby in coach Joe Lydon's selection for Manchester. The Games sevens tournament begins on August 2.
Meanwhile, Pontypridd's English prop Duncan Bell could join French powerhouse Alessio Galasso at Bath, according to reports from South Wales.
Bell, 27, an England tourist Down Under in 1998, is set to quit the Principality Cup winners and Parker Pen Shield runners-up.
Former Australia and Ireland scrum-half Brian Smith is expected to be confirmed as Bath's new backs coach within days, having been released from Super 12 outfit ACT Brumbies.
Unwanted Bath hooker Mark Regan is a target for Welsh giants Cardiff.
Bath will enter the Middlesex Charity Sevens at Twickenham on August 17 despite it clashing with the first pre-season match at Bridgend.
THE DRAW: British Army v Saracens; Princess of Wales Royal Regiment v Bath; Leeds Tykes v Bradford Bulls; NEC Harlequins v Gloucester; Northampton Saints v Bristol Shoguns; London Irish v Newcastle Falcons; Wigan Warriors v Sale Sharks; London Wasps v Leicester Tigers.
