THE complexities of copyright will be unravelled at a meeting on Thursday.
Copyright consultant Sandy Norman will be in charge of the gathering at the Bible Society's West Swindon headquarters.
Copyright is an important issue for anybody whose work involves using data or text assembled by others, as there can be serious legal implications.
Mr Norman will discuss how copyright affects our working lives and encompasses a whole host of material, including photographs, maps, books, videos and music.
Roger Trayhurn, who is organising the meeting, said: "This is an opportunity for anyone interested in copyright to learn from an expert in the field."
The birth of the internet and other technological developments has made copyright an increasingly in- escapable issue.
"Copyright is something people encounter every day without even realising it," Mr Trayhurn added.
Everybody is welcome to attend the meeting, starting at 2.30pm.
Places can be reserved by calling Swindon 463240.
