THE new Volvo dealer for Swindon will shortly have its servicing facility in the town ready for business.
Fawcett's Garage of Newbury, which took over the franchise from Ridgeway Volvo, is setting up a service base in Callender Park, off Paddington Drive.
It is being refitted and should be open for business very shortly.
"We cover the area of Swindon out to Fairford, Stroud and Cirencester," said Fawcett's business manager for Swindon Keith Giddings.
"What we would like to emphasise is that arrangements are in place for all Volvo owners to have their cars serviced by us, with courtesy cars possible, or collect and deliver arrangements can be made.
"The Callender Park site is a temporary measure while we look for a site on which to put up a purpose-built showroom and servicing area that fits into Volvo's specifications.
"For our new customers, we will deal with all inquiries from Newbury, and through our servicing facility when it opens.
"But we also have a website which people can visit and through which all inquiries will be promptly dealt with.
"Volvo is a name associated with quality, safety and reliability and, as any Volvo owner will tell you, this is what they look for.
"Fawcett's is continuing this tradition and although we don't have a sales site in the town at present, we are keen to respond to any sales inquiries via phone calls, our website or from visitors who are welcome to our showroom at The Triangle, Pinchington Lane, Newbury."
Fawcett's has already sealed its new relationship with Swindon by forming an association with the South Cerney Sailing Club.
The company confirmed the award of Championship Club status for Volvo Youth Sailing, in conjunction with the Royal Yachting Association, to the SCSC.
Keith Giddings recently presented the award flag to John Bannister from the club.
