CHILDREN, health club members, office staff and even journalists all fell into the Sport Relief spirit in Swindon.
The town was a hub of activity for the event.
Sport relief is a charity which helps disadvantaged children across the country.
A team from the Evening Advertiser took on a team from BBC Wiltshire Sound in a penalty shootout at the County ground.
Playing in goal was broadcaster John Inver-dale.
The print journalists triumphed over their broadcasting opposite numbers by seven goals to six, raising a total of £100.
Across the town, other people were getting into a similar fundraising spirit.
Pupils aged four to seven at Rodbourne Cheney Prim-ary School were sponsored to complete as many laps of the playground, pushing prams or scooters, as they could in ten minutes.
Students aged from eight to 11 had to run, walk or jog circuits of the school field in the same time.
Meanwhile, members of the Marriott Health and Fitness Club took part in a golden mile rowing challenge for the charity.
Each was charged a fee to try rowing their fastest time over 1,609 metres.
And staff at Zurich Financial Services held an official Sports Relief Day involving a series of challenges, including an egg and spoon, tiddlywinks and balloon race triathlon, an exercise bike challenge and an egg throwing competition.
