YOUNG actors, musicians and singers from Wroughton Infants School are making final preparations for a musical entitled The Royal Celebration, which has been written by their headteacher Susan Pagett.
The show, with original music by deputy headteacher Ros Menham, will be staged on Wednesday and Thursday in the Ellendune Hall in Wroughton.
Mrs Pagett said: "The pupils have really taken to this. They have all been brilliant.
"I like my pupils to be creative, as well as doing well in thing like literacy and numeracy. And this play is a good way of encouraging those creative talents.
"I have always written plays for the children I teach, but this is the first one I have written for the children at Wroughton Infants School."
The musical tale follows the trials and tribulations of the rulers of a South Sea island.
