CYCLISTS are being invited to raise cash for the British Heart Foundation in the Wiltshire Heart Cycle Ride.
The annual event raises funds for the leading national charity fighting heart and circulatory disease which is the biggest killer in the UK.
Paul Bancroft, the British Heart Foundation's organiser for Wiltshire, said: "The Wiltshire Heart Cycle Ride offers a unique occasion to engage in a healthy, challenging and fun day out with family and friends plus the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing fight against the miseries of heart disease."
Two routes will start and finish from Lydiard Park on Sunday, September 8. One route of just over 50 miles will satisfy cycling enthusiasts and the shorter 25-mile circuit allows for a gentler day's exercise.
Both courses will be clearly signposted and marshalled, taking riders around the villages of Great Somerford, Easton Grey, Ashton Keynes, Minety and many more. Refreshment points will be located every 10 miles along the route.
Registration forms are available from Swindon Cycle Superstore in Beechfield Road, Totalbike in Commercial Road and Bargain Bikes in Wootton Bassett or register by phoning Freephone 08000 648748.
