YOUNGSTERS at a Park North playgroup have received a letter from the Queen.
The children at Holy Family Pre School in Marlowe Avenue helped make a card congratulating the Queen on her Golden Jubilee.
And to their surprise they received a reply from Buckingham Palace, passing on the Queen's thanks for the card.
The letter thanked the youngsters for their loyalty and support.
The card they sent was made by the youngsters and covered in British flags and glitter.
Every youngster present on the day the card was made helped contribute, by sprinkling some glitter or adding on a flag, and they all signed their names on the back.
Pre-school supervisor Jadz Szuster said: "We sent the card as part of our jubilee celebrations because we thought it would be nice to know what all the children were up to.
"The children had a great time during the Jubilee and we explained the letter to them. Their parents came in to see the letter too, so they will have explained it to them.
"We sent the card off and didn't expect to hear anything back at all but this makes it really nice."
The letter is now mounted on a plaque, together with cuttings of the Evening Advertisers coverage of their celebrations.
The pre-school celebrated the Jubilee with a fancy dress party on June 26.
The children were dressed as kings and queens and took part in games such as pass the royal parcel.
To keep things going they had a second Jubilee party on July 7, with youngsters getting to dress up with staff again.
The pre-school is based on the same site as Holy Family Primary School and has 72 children on its register.
