CHILDREN at a Swindon school have learnt that having fun can help them in the classroom.
Youngsters from Drove Primary School in Drove Road spent their school fete riding ponies and jumping on the bouncy castle.
And the fundraising event turned out to be the most successful in the school's history.
The fete, organised by the Friends of Drove School, raised more than £1,500 for school funds.
The cash will be spent on computer and playground equipment.
Debbie Greenough, the secretary of the Friends of Drove School said: "It went really well, we raised more money than we ever had before.
"We enjoyed a lot of support from parents and businesses. More than 20 companies donated prizes to our raffle.
"It was a really good day and the children had lots of fun."
