I WOULD warn your readers not to write their name and electricity supplier on any envelope that arrives from London Electric.
I received two envelopes with my full postal address but addressed to a 'Mrs Roberts'. The first envelope (I had never heard the name London Electricity or Mrs Roberts) I returned to the post box marked 'Not known at this address return to sender'. The second one I also added my name and supplier.
Within a few days a letter came from my own supplier stating "Sorry to hear you are leaving us etc". I was shocked to hear this and telephoned at once.
I also wrote to Michael Wills who promptly replied enclosing a copy of a letter he had written to London Electric demanding an explanation. I also contacted Energywatch who did the same.
The incident happened over a month ago and is still not resolved.
