Nearly eight years ago (August 15, 1994), "Lost kitty comes home" made a front page story in the Evening Advertiser (pictured above).
Goldie, the cat in question, had been missing for more than four years.
My telephone kept ringing and Goldie received many letters, one from New York!
For nearly eight years Goldie gave me nothing but joy, and he became a perfect friend. We never parted again.
Sadly, on July 8, 2002, Goldie died peacefully at home, and has been cremated.
His death broke my heart, but Goldie was such a perfect cat I shall miss him as long as I live.
