YOUR so-called political correspon-dent, Ms Lubin, is at it again ("Memories of an era of evil", Evening Advertiser, July 12).

What Mosley's thugs, the 1930s and the current NHS have to do with the illegal immigrant problem I fail to see.

Surely she has seen the newsreel film of the active young men walking in groups toward the Channel tunnel freight yards, storming the entrance in mobs, climbing fences and crawling all over the wagons.

In the 1930s, such young men coming out of Europe were to form the backbone of the Free French, Dutch, Polish, Belgian etc forces, whose only intention was to help fight the Nazi tyranny and go back home, and their heroism is legendary.

The current mob can only see the economic advantages of getting to Britain at all costs with no intention of getting their own countries back on their feet, and all taking advantage of Britain's farcical asylum policy.

Blair, Straw and cronies would rather play footsie with the likes of Mugabe and Spain, the latter's attempt to sell Gibraltar down the river being a good example of foreign policy. Watch this space the Falklands will be next!

It's all part of the ploy to take our minds off the intention to be part of President Blair's Federal Socialist Republic of Europe, where immigration, legal or illegal, won't be a problem as we shall all be in one happy family!

Have you seen the television advert of the squadron of flying pigs?
