CHAIRMAN Malcolm Lyus is hoping to see hundreds of Chippenham Town supporters decked out in the club's new shirt when his side kick off their Dr Martens League Premier Division adventure at home to Chelmsford City on August 17.

The club will continue their recent policy of introducing a new shirt for every campaign next season and expect the new design to match the commercial success of the strip sported by Tommy Saunders' side on their march to promotion.

Last season's yellow away kit has also been replaced by a predominantly white kit, which has a grey strip running along the sides of the shirt and shorts.

The yellow shirt will be used as the club's emergency third choice strip.

Bluebirds chiefs have yet to announce when the new kit will be on sale from the club shop or how much fans can expect to pay for it.

Lyus believes the club will sell in the region of 200 new shirts once they go on sale and hopes to see supporters showing off their colours both home and away next term.

He said: "We expect to sell between 150 and 200 of them, which we did last year. We have always had a new kit for every new season. It gives the lads a bit of a boost and they will have new kitbags, warm-up tops and tracksuits as well.

"The league we're in now is really professional and we want to look the part. Supporters will come to our place in the colours of their team and we want our fans to be the same."
