THE 107th Somerfords Show takes place at the Great Somerford Showground, near The River Avon, on August 10.
The annual event, which was interrupted only by the two World Wars, features flower competitions, a dog show and a duck race.
Men can test their culinary skills with a male-only coffee sponge cake contest. There will be other cooking, vegetable and flower competitions, all taking place in a marquee beside the river. Judging takes place between 10am and 2pm and from 2pm people will be able to visit the marquee to inspect the exhibits.
In the show ring show jumping starts at 9.30am and there will be a gymkhana later in the day.
The afternoon will also feature a display of VWH Hounds, as well as a dog show, with breed, novelty and obedience classes.
At 3.30pm there will be a duck race on the River Avon with a £150 prize.
The show also features a fun fair and trade stands. Entry is £2 for adults, and £1 for children and OAPs, with a separate charge of £2 for parking.
