DAVID Hempleman-Adams' world record-breaking balloon flight attempt has been postponed until next month because of the weather.

Mr Hempleman-Adams, 45, from Box, and Bristol-based Cameron Balloons owner Don Cameron want to reach 25,000ft in a 77,000 cubic-foot balloon containing huge helium-filled weather balloons.

But on Saturday, wind speeds at that height were too high.

They planned to take off from Western Zoyland, an airfield close to the M5 and Bridgwater.

They will now attempt the record as soon as the weather, and their schedules, allow.
