TWO people from the Caribbean have been learning about the work of Wiltshire County Council's youth service.
Nishard Mohammed, 26, and Angela Nesbitt, 25, from Trinidad and Tobago, were hosted by staff at Wiltshire County Council when they visited Britain to attend a youth conference.
Young people from more than 50 Commonwealth countries attended the conference in Sunderland earlier this month.
Nishard and Angela's stay in Wiltshire was spent visiting a number of top tourist sights including Stonehenge, and looking into the varied work of the county council's youth service.
This included being briefed about Splash, the highly successful summer holiday activity scheme for young people.
Nick Dixon, the county council's youth democracy worker, also attended the conference.
He said: "The conference gave us the most incredible opportunity to meet other young people from the Commonwealth and share cultures, experiences and youth work ideas.
"Nishard and Angela enjoyed their visit to Wiltshire.
"We really hope that they will take some ideas about our youth work here in Wiltshire with them as they return to the Caribbean."
