A DOZEN junior anglers turned out for the second round of the four legs Millennium Trophy on Friday evening.
The three-hour match was fished on the Devizes Angling Association's Crookwood Lake on the outskirts of Urchfont. Crookwood Lake is continuing in top form, with plenty of fish showing at every peg.
Lee Wrigglesworth proved to be top angler on the day with a mixed bag of roach, perch, crucian carp and the odd goldfish to weigh 8lb 12oz. Lee used a pole and fished maggot over groundbait and pinkie on a size 18 hook.
Ray Thicker, on the next peg, also caught well, landing a good crucian carp and carp, roach, perch and goldfish for 8lb 5oz. He also used a pole and fished maggot over ground bait and loose-fed maggot.
