SALISBURY Cathedral played host to a marriage made in media heaven on Saturday, when former Salisbury Festival director Helen Marriage married Bafta award-winning film director Peter Kosminsky.
High-profile guests at the wedding included TV presenter Jeremy Paxman and lessons were read by actors Tim Piggott-Smith and Matthew McFadyen.
Helen Marriage was responsible for transforming Salisbury Festival from a local celebration into a major event capable of attracting international artistes.
She marked her connection to the city by having the Salisbury Festival chorus, under conductor Howard Moody, perform several times during the service.
