I think the Swindon Memorial should be to all who died of mesothelioma. I feel for those with it now, but what about the railway men who died of it 50 years ago?
It was put down then as broncho-pneumonia. My father was one of them. To see him suffer and slowly die my mother did not get any money from the railway. There were no benefits and only very little widow's pension.
