Bath have confirmed the appointment of former Australia and Ireland fly-half Brian Smith as first team coach.
The 35-year-old was coaching co-ordinator with the ACT Brumbies and helped guide them to the Super 12 final this season.
Smith, who was a dual international in the 1980s and early '90s before switching codes for a stint in rugby league, will add his attacking nous to Foley's new-look coaching staff.
Team director Michael Foley said: "Brian is a very exciting appointment for Bath Rugby.
"I am looking forward to working with him and he will be concentrating on strength and conditioning as well as filling a very important role in terms of developing back line skills.''
Smith, who played for the Queensland Reds, represented Australia six times before switching to Ireland, winning nine caps.
Then followed a spell with Australian league club Balmain Tigers before coaching Sydney Premiership side Eastern Suburbs.
He said: "I am really looking forward to getting down to working with Bath Rugby. It will be a fresh and exciting challenge and I can't wait to be working in a hands-on, tracksuit role on the training ground with the players."
