KINGSTONS Estate Agents in Trowbridge has raised money for disabled house-buyer Jeanette Waghorne.
Maurice Beale, Jemma Smith, Andy Langley and Matthew Withers collected £1,326 from a sponsored swim, after having been approached by Mr Damien Waghorne for help in paying for his wife's wheelchair.
Mrs Waghorne said: "We were amazed when the estate agents said they would help, and are very grateful for their contribution."
Wheelchairs cost about £4,000 but Mrs Waghorne felt she could not wait for the NHS to provide one.
She said: "Having a wheelchair has made me more independent and mobile in my new house."
Mr Beale said: "It was the least we could do. They bought and sold with us and when approached we thought it was an extremely worthy cause."
Mr Langley and Mr Withers swam 50 lengths of a swimming pool and all the agents have kept in contact with the couple.
Mrs Waghorne said: "They were fantastic and they have almost become members of the family."
