THE work of young Westbury artists attracted a great deal of interest at an art exhibition held at Matravers School.
The first group of A-level art students, to attend the new sixth form at the school, invited the public in to see paintings, prints, ceramics and many other types of artwork.
Teacher, Heather Leach, said: "We are very pleased with the way the students have worked and how well they have done.
"Everyone said they were very impressed with the standard of work and with the different mediums used."
The 19 A-level art students all got involved with the show and some have even received offers to buy their work.
About half the students, now in the final year of their studies at the school, plan to go on and do arts foundation courses in Trowbridge or Bath.
Mrs Leach said: "All the students who applied to go on these courses have been accepted, which is great."
Many of these students are among those now on a school trip in Paris.
They are immersing themselves in the great works of art on display in the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay.
