STAFF at Wiltshire County Council are to learn how to protect their own personal safety from Diana Lamplugh, whose daughter Suzy vanished without trace.
Following the estate agent's disappearance Diana Lamplugh founded the Suzy Lamplugh Trust and now tries to help others avoid dangerous encounters.
The hour-long lunchtime session will cover all areas of personal safety including relaxation techniques, handling difficult situations and strategies and procedures to reduce risk and defuse potentially dangerous situations.
Diana Lamplugh said: "What happened to Suzy need not have happened. Our work has focused on helping people to learn skills which can help prevent them becoming a victim."
Paul Collyer, health and safety manager, said: "Personal safety of our staff is an issue the council takes very seriously, we are constantly looking at ways to protect our staff from potential risk."
