A TROWBRIDGE woman has raised money for Dorothy House in gratitude for the outstanding kindness and care nurse specialists offer to her father.
As a way of thanking the health professionals at Dorothy House, Sharon Sprong has collected £324 through a sponsored eight-mile walk.
Accompanied by friends, Mrs Sprong starting her walk from Dorothy House in Winsley, and returned to the hospice three-and-a-half hours later.
She said: "My father has cancer and emphysema and instead of donating money directly to the charity, I wanted to do this walk in order to get more people involved."
Dorothy House has an enviable reputation for the physical and emotional care it offers victims of life-threatening illnesses and their families. The hospice serves over half a million people and is always grateful for donations.
