REGULARS at a Swindon pub will be putting down their pints and baring all tomorrow, in an effort to raise money for a local cause.

Ten drinkers at the Pipers Arms in Old Town are undergoing a sponsored head shave and body wax, and hope to raise close to £1,000.

The money raised will be donated to Charlotte Wakeham, a seven-year-old Swindon youngster who has a brain tumour.

Local radio station GWR has been running a campaign this month to raise enough money to send Charlotte and her family to Disneyland.

Becky Bell, landlady at the Pipers Arms, said: "We heard about Charlotte on the radio, and felt we wanted to do something to help.

"So far, the sponsorship looks promising some of the regulars have raised more than £200 already, and we hope to get some more donations on the day."

Staff from Talk of the Town hairdressers in Old Town will be performing the shave and wax in the pub at 2pm tomorrow.

Spectators are welcome and, weather permitting, there will also be a barbecue.
