I think when people refer to asylum seekers, they must make the distinction between those refugees who are fleeing after suffering genuine persecution and those who are economic migrants.
The beating of young Somalian refugee Burhan Warsame was a disgusting crime, and the lenient sentences given to his attackers were disgraceful.
In the case of many of the economic migrants coming here, though, I cannot believe the official line, suggesting that they are all good for our economy.
The Home Office facts on paper, whatever evidence they portray, cannot supplant simple common sense all these people of different cultures here will need time to adapt and be gradually integrated into our society.
