PUPILS at a primary school in Swindon got to do what every child dreams of, and blasted their head teacher into space.
More than a hundred pupils at Oaktree Nursery and Primary School took part in the summer production of Blast Off, in which the head teacher was sent to Jupiter.
Ann Harris, the real headmistress at the school in Priory Road, said: "The play follows the tale of the headmistress, who takes a space mission to extend the frontier of human knowledge. All Year Five and Six pupils took part there was singing, dancing and acting."
The nine to 11-year-olds had been rehearsing for a month for the play, which culminated in a successful performance on Thursday and earned a standing ovation from parents.
